1/2 - 3/4cuphoney or maple syrup

Dry Ingredients
1 1/2cupsflourorganic, unbleached all purpose
1 tspbaking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2tspsea salt
Add in's
1cupchopped walnuts or pecansoptional
1/2cupraisins or chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease bread pan with butter.
In a large mixing bowl cream together butter, honey, mashed bananas, eggs and vanilla.
In a smaller separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Whisk until fully combine.
With a spatula or spoon, fold in chopped nuts if using.
Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared bread pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes up to 90 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for about 10 minutes before enjoying.
Notes
If you do not have four banana's (about two cups mashed) add a bit more honey or maple syrup to the batter. To make this even healthier, use whole wheat flour. You can also totally eliminate the honey from the batter to reduce the total sugar content. If removing the honey, reduce baking time to 50-60 minutes.You can add up to 1 1/2 cups of add ins. See post for idea's of what you can add to your banana bread. If you don't have honey or maple syrup, you can replace with granulated sugar in the same amounts. Reduce baking time to 50-60 minutes if using granulated sugar.
